Linear Ball Spline MAG Guides Provide Greater Design Flexibility

If you’re looking for linear guides that provide high accuracy, rigidity and design flexibility, even under complex or fluctuating loads, consider our C-Lube Linear Ball Spline MAG series.

These guides enable continuous linear motion of an external cylinder along a spline shaft. And with their minimal lubrication requirements, they provide long-term, maintenance-free operation in applications ranging from medical equipment to semiconductor
manufacturing.

Here are some of their key features:

Compact, yet rigid. Thanks to their simple structure and using a unique ball-retaining mechanism, these guides don’t require a ball retainer, leaving room for small shaft diameters and external cylinder outside diameters. Our
smallest size (model LSAG2), for example, achieves a shaft diameter of 2 mm and external cylinder outside diameter of 6 mm.

But despite their compact size, these guides are tough. They feature a four-point contact, two-row raceway design—ensuring high accuracy and rigidity under loads up to 1,800 N (dynamic rating – C) and 2,470 N (static rating – Co).

Interchangeable. Because of their interchangeable specification, you can easily mix and match external cylinders and spline shafts to meet the specific needs of your application. External cylinders come in two designs—a standard
cylindrical shape and flange type—and two lengths—standard and long. The MAG comes in six different models with spline shaft diameters ranging from 4 to 12 mm.

Maintenance-free. Because of their minimal lubrication requirements, these guides are also environmentally friendly. In one test, they required zero maintenance—even after 600 million total strokes under severe operating conditions.
